Singapore won the rights to host the Mission Foods World Netball Championships in 2011 and is currently the only Asian country to host the championship. The Welcome Dinner was held on 2 July 2011 at the Raffles City Convention Center. The event was attended by 550 participants from 16 countries with Guest-of-Honour Major-General (NS) Chan Chun Sing, Acting Minister for Community Development, Youth and Sports and Minister of State for Information, Communications and the Arts.
